Dr Terry Rives of the University of Texas Houston delivered a lecture on the topic of 'Research Collaboration' here at the University of Health Sciences (UHS). Speaking on the occasion, Dr Rives highlighted the importance of collaboration in research between the two universities. He assured all out support in the field of bio-statistical analysis for any genuine and quality research.

The faculty and postgraduate students from UHS and faculty members and students from the affiliated colleges attended the lecture.

The UHS Vice-chancellor Professor Dr Mubashar Ahmed stressed the need for carrying out indigenous research as locally developed vaccines and medicines are more likely to be effective in combating diseases, as each country has specific species of micro-organisms.

He assured the visiting scholar that the journey of collaboration with University of Texas would go a long way in developing research culture at the UHS.
